The Teachers’ Compass

In 2022, I was introduced to Anita Lazarus, who had embarked on a quest to create a teacher’s manual. Her vision was to enable teachers to build their teaching practice on values and ethics that go beyond knowledge and skill-building.

She established a think-tank of educators who devoted time every week to engage in discussions of ethics in their subject areas.

It was an honor to be able to learn and discern from the decades of experience of teachers, professors, and administrators.

As we collaborated to write this book (which we once assumed would be a short manual), I was invited to contribute to the mathematics and language sections.

The Teachers’ Compass was finally released in 2024 by Triaze. If you are an educator, or know an educator you’d like to gift this to, get your copy from Triaze.

Stay tuned for details on teacher seminars and other avenues for educators to engage with the book and the team.
